The Creative Process
Creating a space especially for You takes time. Well thought out, educated decisions on furniture and finish selection need to evolve. We need to create a story, a relationship between the pieces, within your space.
The selection of furniture will have some degree of customization and this takes time. Scarlet Begonia Interiors uses only quality manufactures and skilled tradesmen to fabricate your work.
The time we invest in the initial design concept will eliminate costly surprises in the end.
CONSULTATION: Our initial meeting is important in many ways. First we have the opportunity to meet one another! We want to be sure we can establish a comfortable working relationship. You will begin to describe the scope of your project and your time frame. I will ask you many questions regarding your space issues, needs, goals, style, budget etc.
Once it has been agreed to proceed, a Letter of Agreement will be sent to you. This document outlines the scope of the project and the role and responsibilities of the designer. This document needs to be signed and a deposit is required before beginning the first phase of the design process. This fee will vary depending on the scope of the project. After the first phase is completed, the client is billed on an hourly rate.
Schematic Design: At this time, necessary measurements and photographs will be taken to aid in the re- designing of the space. I may also show you a few fabrics, finishes or paint colors at this time. Your immediate reaction is valuable to me because at our next meeting I will want to present to you my ideas and suggestions.
Presentation; During this meeting, the Scarlet Begonia Interiors design will be carefully explained to you. Your “story” will begin to unfold with floor plans, fabrics, furniture style, paint colors and more. All possible options will be discussed. I will explain to you why I made certain decisions and I will listen to your feedback. It is very important we both understand the direction of the project at this point. A follow up meeting will be scheduled for revisions.
Orders; Scarlet Begonia Interiors is responsible for processing orders and the follow through on delivery or installation. Scarlet Begonia Interiors is NOT responsible for any order/delivery of an item placed by another party. A 50% deposit and signature of approval is required on all orders before the order can be placed. The remaining balance is required upon delivery.
Accessorize; This maybe the last step in the process but it’s the most important step~ And the most fun!
Following the deliveries and installations the room will be accessorized with pieces to reflect your lifestyle.
